In culture conditions known to be permissive for stem cell differentiation, the cancer stem cells treated with bufalin failed to attach to the flask and maintained a high-level expression of stem cell marker CD133 and OCT-4 and a low level expression of fibronectin, which facilitated the metastasis of cancer.
